Etsy

I have finally listed some burp cloths on Etsy. I haven't listed anything there for probably a year so it feels good to finally get that checked off my list. Etsy is a little different than ebay because it only lets you upload five photos so I can't show all of my fabric. So, I have to list each print separately which means I need to go through all of my photos (probably thousands) to find the files I need. So stay tuned and hopefully I'll be adding more and more over the week. Etsy is really growing thanks to Martha having several Etsy sellers on her show this past year. Also with ebay alienating so many sellers with their fee and feedback changes a lot of people are going to Etsy so I have joined them.

Here is my Etsy link- you can also find it on the right side of the blog.

Back to my roots

First off let me say that I can't believe it has been two weeks since I posted last. I feel like I just posted the other day. My oldest son "graduated" from Kindergarten last week so we've had a flurry of end of the year stuff to do. I thought once summer started I'd have all this extra time to blog, sew, clean, workout, etc. because I wouldn't be shuttling everyone around town all day. Boy was I wrong. I am now the Activity Director for my three little guys who expect me to keep them entertained ALL day. This is going to be a long summer! But I shouldn't complain- we are having a lot of fun.

So this brings me to the pictures below. Monday is our designated "craft day" and our first project was making tie-dye shirts. Sounds fun right? Not so much with a three year old that just wants to squirt the color all over and not listen, LOL. Luckily I had the sense to put the baby down for a nap before we started! We all got lots of dye on us (some of which is still stained on my hands and nails) and we did have fun. Below are some pictures- and don't worry, we did not leave the house all dressed in our tie-dye shirts together.

Oh, and let me explain the back to the roots part. I grew up in a small Northern California town. I love to say that it's still stuck in the 60's, lots of old hippies still around. I get a big kick out of it when I go back to visit in the summer because it is just so the opposite of where I live now.

Thank You!

Just a quick thank you to those of you who supported me in the Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser. I raised over $1,400 and Team Cooper raised over $40,000 in total!

Here are some pictures from our fun walk. It was a beautiful day on the bay!

More new fabric and bib

Just a quick post to share with you some new fabric I found and to show a bib I actually made.

Blue woody fabric- very cute!

Brown fabric with aqua blue flowers. I actually have this print in three other colors but didn't have this combo! I also have it in brown with hot pink, green and light blue.

One of these days I will figure out how to upload albums so I can have all my fabric choices for you to look at.

Lastly, is a bib I made. People always ask me if I make bibs. I do make bibs but they are store bought plain white bibs that I embroider. I finally decided to try making a bib and I think it turned out pretty nice for my first try. I embroidered the baby's initial on some chenille- I have so many small pieces left over from the blankets I make - and then used cotton for the back. A great customer of mine placed an order of a blanket and burp cloth set so I just made this to go with it as a thank you. The only thing I forgot to do was top-stitch around the edge.

Anyway, here's the front...

and the back...

with matching burp cloth...

I need to make a few more samples then I'll be listing them.
