My new favorite thing

Now don't fall off your chair that I'm posting two times in one week! I might make a habit of it. ...we'll see :)

I wanted to share my new favorite thing to make! Key Fobs! I don't know why they're called fobs? If anyone knows please post a comment. I taught the girls in my sewing class how to make these a few weeks ago and it was a big hit. They're so fun and easy to make I was able to make four really quick in one evening. I then tried making some personalized ones. These will make really great gifts!

What Recession?

I know from watching the news that the country is in the middle of a huge financial crisis. In fact it stresses me out so much that I try not to watch. That being said, I've been so lucky that my business has never been busier! I have a huge list of orders and no idea when I'm going to find the time to get them all finished let alone keep up on my blog. I'm not complaining though! I'm so appreciative to all of my loyal customers (and new ones too) that are keeping me so busy. I also have a ton of new things I want to make if I can find the time.

Some recent stuff I've been working on...

Super cute Flip Flop Onesie. The strap part is actually ribbon. I will get these listed later this spring.

Some cute Valentine things...

Big Sister shirt...

More Zipper Bags...I love these!

I have a few more things to share but I'll save those for later. Hopefully it will make me post again soon!

New Year, New Posts

Yeah, yeah - I know it's been a long time. I'm not even going to try to promise that I'll post more because whenever I say that I don't blog for months so let's just see what happens.

Anyway, what a crazy holiday season! I barely got all my shopping done by Christmas Eve. The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas were just a whirlwind. I had all these plans to make a bunch of gifts but half of them didn't happen. I took on too much for others. I've decided this year I need to one, become more organized, and two, sometimes turn down requests that are too much or stress me out. I didn't do any sewing the last two weeks of December and it was much needed break. Now I'm re-energized and ready to take on 2009. I even have three things posted on ebay! They are the usual burp cloths, a Valentines shirt and a St. Patrick's Day onesie. Check them out below. I'm also including some recent projects.

Happy New Year!

Happy Halloween!

I've been teaching a sewing class to some of my friends and neighbors the past few months. It's been really fun passing on my love for sewing. It's also been fun because it's made me think up some new projects and actually do them! Here was our last project - some fun Halloween placemats kids. Now I need to do them for every holiday :)

Trying to perfect my bias tape application with some coasters

Halloween shirt for Tea- last year I made her long sleeved shirts but it's still so hot here in October her mom opted for tanks this year.

Have a great weekend,

Has it been a month?

I knew I had been neglecting the blog but I was stunned to see it's been a whole month since I posted. Especially after I promised to post more often! Well what can I say- I've just been busy but I'm back!

Here are some cute bags I've been making. Look for them on etsy soon. I organized my fabric the other day and I have five huge tubs of fabric! I have promised myself that I cannot buy any more until I use some that I have. These cute little bags are the perfect way to use some up. Most of these are plain but I can personalize them as well.

I used iron-on vinyl on the lining so this would make a great snack or make-up bag.

Made this for the kids to keep their Legos in when we're on the go

My baby loves Thomas and loves his little train bag

Fun pirate bag

Personalized bag I made for a friend

Tote I donated for a raffle made with Amy Butler fabric

I'm getting ready to watch the Project Runway finale! I think Leanne will win.

Martha!

The new season of Martha starts today! I'm so excited to have some new episodes to watch. Here's a link to Martha's Blog. Also tomorrow her daughter's show, Whatever, Martha! starts on the Fine Living Network. I listen to Whatever! with Alexis and Jennifer on my Sirius radio and love it. I've even called in before. I know- I'm a geek.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.
